2. Scope of this policy
This Privacy Policy applies to the public FARO™ website at faro.com.mt and to communications sent to us by email or phone in connection with FARO™ enquiries, waitlist requests, pilot interest or future updates.
3. Current website data collection position
The current public website is intended to be privacy-light. It does not use contact forms, account creation, cookies, analytics, advertising pixels, embedded chat widgets, newsletter tools or behavioural tracking.
4. Personal data you may provide voluntarily
If you contact FARO™ by email or phone, or ask to join the waitlist, we may process: your name; email address; phone number; organisation; role; module of interest; whether you are interested in pilot access or updates; message content; and any other information you voluntarily provide.
5. Please do not send unnecessary sensitive information
Please do not send sensitive personal data, client confidential information, or AML/CFT case files by email unless we have first agreed an appropriate process.
6. Purposes of processing
We may process personal data to respond to enquiries, add you to the waitlist, send requested updates, understand market interest, manage pilot discussions, maintain business correspondence, and comply with legal obligations.

We may rely on legitimate interests, pre-contractual steps, consent where required for update communications, and legal obligation where records must be retained by law.
8. Website hosting and technical logs
Hosting infrastructure may generate basic technical logs including IP address, timestamp, requested page, browser information and error logs, used for security and troubleshooting.

The current website does not intentionally set cookies and does not use analytics or behavioural tracking. If this changes, this policy will be updated first.
10. Sharing personal data
We do not sell personal data. Data may be shared only with necessary service providers such as hosting, email, IT support or professional advisors.

We aim to use service providers in Malta or the EEA where possible. Appropriate safeguards will be considered for any future transfers outside the EEA.

We retain personal data only as long as necessary. Waitlist details may be retained until launch, until you ask to be removed, or until the waitlist purpose is no longer active.

Under applicable data protection law, you may have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object, request portability, withdraw consent, and lodge a complaint with the Office of the Information and Data Protection Commissioner in Malta.
